Beauty Questions

Q: I have been told that as I mature I should go lighter with my hair color?
A: As we mature, many assume that they should be going lighter with their hair color. This is not necessarily true as going lighter tends to draw us out and make us look sallow. Instead, I suggest reviewing an old photogragh of yourself and looking for the natural highlights that were occurring in your hair (they will usually be one or two shades lighter than the base color of you hair). This is the color that you hair should be.

Q: How do I know what is best for my skin tone?
A: As far as skin tones are concerned, you should avoid the "pinky" based foundations and concealers that used to be our only choice. Many makeup companies now accommaodate us by following the logic that 90% of the population has a yellow -based skin tone, therefore our makeup foundations and concealers should also be of a yellow- base.

Q: How do I keep that "just stepped out of the salon" look the next day?
A: One of the most common remarks I hear when working on clients is that they cannot reproduce what they look like when they leave the salon. Most of the work I do is very simple and is just a matter of taking the time to do it, and making yourself comfortable while doing it. For example, sitting down to apply your makeup or blow dry your hair will make all the difference in the desired outcome.

Q: What make-up products do you recommend?
We recommend using Dejon Cosmetics which is the best line we carry.
