Microneedling, Microchanneling, & PRP/PRF

Microneedling
Advanced Microneedling
Treatment depth is customized based on skin goals. Deeper microneedling may involve controlled pinpoint bleeding, which is a normal and intentional response when advanced collagen stimulation is indicated.
Discover Beautiful Skin
Microneedling is a professional skin rejuvenation treatment designed to improve skin texture, tone, and overall skin health by stimulating the body’s natural collagen and elastin production.
Using medical-grade devices, microneedling creates controlled micro-channels in the skin that activate the body’s healing response. Over time, this process helps soften fine lines, improve uneven pigmentation, reduce the appearance of acne scarring, and restore a smoother, healthier-looking complexion.
Microneedling treatments are fully customized and may be performed on the face, neck, décolleté, and other areas where skin renewal and firmness are desired.

Microneedling works by creating precise, controlled micro-channels in the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate collagen and elastin production while enhancing the skin’s ability to absorb topical serums and regenerative solutions. As the skin repairs itself, new collagen forms, helping improve firmness, elasticity, and overall skin quality. Treatment depth and technique are customized based on skin type, treatment goals, and the area being treated. Deeper treatments may result in temporary pinpoint bleeding, which is a normal and expected response when advanced collagen-stimulating protocols are indicated.
How It Works
Microneedling may help improve fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, acne scars, sun damage, uneven pigmentation, stretch marks, and overall skin texture by supporting the skin’s natural regenerative process.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Microneedling Therapy
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) may be combined with microneedling to enhance the skin’s regenerative response. PRP is derived from the patient’s own blood and contains a concentrated source of platelets and growth factors that support healing and tissue renewal.
When applied during microneedling, PRP penetrates through the micro-channels, supporting collagen production, improving skin texture, and enhancing overall results. This combination treatment is often selected for patients seeking more advanced skin rejuvenation and improved skin quality.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy Injections
PRP injections involve the precise placement of platelet-rich plasma into targeted areas of the skin to support regeneration, collagen stimulation, and tissue repair.
PRP injections may be used in areas such as the face, under-eye region, scalp, and other areas where improved skin quality or regenerative support is desired. Treatment plans are individualized and performed by licensed medical providers following a thorough consultation.
Whats the Difference between Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) & PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin)?
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) are both regenerative treatments derived from a patient’s own blood, but they differ in how they are processed and how growth factors are released.
PRP is created using a faster centrifugation process and releases growth factors more quickly.
PRF is processed at a slower speed and does not require anticoagulants, allowing a fibrin matrix to form. This matrix supports a slower, more sustained release of platelets, white blood cells, and growth factors, which may contribute to longer-lasting regenerative benefits.
Both options are effective, and the choice depends on treatment goals, anatomy, and provider recommendation.
PRP, PRF & EZGEL® RegenerativeTreatments
Regenerative Treatments Using Your Own Blood
PRP, PRF, and EZGEL® are regenerative treatments that use the patient’s own blood to support natural healing, collagen stimulation, and skin rejuvenation. These treatments are valued for being autologous, biocompatible, and adaptable to a variety of aesthetic indications.
At DeJon Salon & Aesthetics Center, PRP, PRF, and EZGEL® treatments are performed by Melissa Staricka, NP, Director of Aesthetics, using advanced protocols and physician-developed techniques.
What Is PRF?
Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is an advanced regenerative treatment created using a slower centrifugation process without anticoagulants. This allows the formation of a fibrin matrix that supports a gradual, sustained release of platelets, white blood cells, and growth factors.
PRF is commonly used for:
Under-eye rejuvenation
Facial skin quality improvement
Advanced regenerative treatments

EZGEL® is created by combining albumin-rich plasma with EZPRF®, resulting in a flexible, bio-stimulating gel derived entirely from the patient’s own blood.
EZGEL®:
Is 100% autologous
Contains no synthetic fillers or additives
Adapts in consistency depending on treatment area
Supports natural collagen and tissue regeneration
EZGEL® protocols are based on physician-developed techniques and are performed at DeJon Salon & Aesthetics Center by Melissa Staricka, NP.
Treatment Areas

PRP, PRF, and EZGEL® may be used in areas such as:
Under-eye hollows
Face and skin rejuvenationNeck and décolleté
Hair restorationScar and texture improvement
All treatments are customized following a detailed consultation.

What is Microchanneling?

Microchanneling is a gentler, updated form of microneedling, using a stamp-like tool with filaments for vertical, controlled micro-channels, leading to less trauma, less downtime, and better serum delivery, while traditional microneedling uses gliding needles that can cause more tearing but offers deeper penetration for more severe concerns. Think of microneedling as a "drag" or "roll," while microchanneling is a precise "stamp," minimizing inflammation and skin damage for quicker recovery.
Which Treatment is Right for You?
Assessing Your Skin Concerns
Choosing between microchanneling and microneedling starts with understanding your unique skin needs.
-
If you have sensitive skin or prefer a gentler approach with minimal irritation, microchanneling may be the better fit.
-
If you’re dealing with more advanced concerns—like deeper wrinkles, acne scars, or significant texture issues—microneedling’s deeper penetration could deliver stronger results.
Considering Pain Tolerance
Comfort matters.
-
Microchanneling is typically less painful, making it a great option if you’re sensitive to discomfort.
-
Microneedling can involve more sensation, but for those who can tolerate it, the payoff may be more dramatic improvements.
Evaluating Downtime
Your schedule plays a big role in the decision.
-
Microchanneling usually comes with minimal downtime, perfect for busy lifestyles.
-
Microneedling may require a bit more recovery, so it’s best if you can plan for extra healing time.
Consulting Your Provider.
Most importantly, consult with a licensed aesthetician before making your decision. They can evaluate your skin type, lifestyle, and goals to recommend the treatment that will be safest and most effective for you.
