Corrective & Restorative Services

Corrective & Restorative Services (Clinical Overview)

Scar Camouflage (Paramedical Micropigmentation)
A corrective micropigmentation procedure used to visually blend mature scar tissue with the surrounding skin tone.
This technique does not remove or treat the scar itself; it provides optical improvement by reducing contrast and irregular pigmentation.
Treatment is performed on fully healed, stable scars and typically requires multiple sessions due to variable pigment uptake in scar tissue.
Areola Restoration
A restorative micropigmentation procedure designed to recreate the appearance of a natural areola following breast surgery, reconstruction, or pigment loss.
Performed with clinical precision, sterile technique, and strict attention to anatomical realism.
Beauty Marks
Controlled pigment placement to create or enhance a natural‑appearing beauty mark.

Clinical Candidacy for Scar Camouflage
A pre‑treatment consultation is required.
Scars must be:
• Fully healed and stable
• Smooth or minimally textured
• At least 9–12 months old
• Free of erythema, irritation, or active inflammation

This procedure is not indicated for:
• Port‑wine stains
• Telangiectasia (spider veins)
• Freckles, age spots, or melasma
• Under‑eye hyperpigmentation
• Active or unstable vitiligo
• Suspicious lesions or undiagnosed skin abnormalities
Scar tissue demonstrates unpredictable pigment retention, and outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

Important Clinical Expectations
Permanent makeup and scar camouflage are gradual, multi‑stage cosmetic procedures.
Immediately post‑procedure, pigment appears darker and more concentrated; this is expected and temporary.
During the healing phase, pigment may lighten, soften, or appear uneven before stabilizing.
Clients should anticipate:
• Temporary erythema or darkening of the treated area
• A healing period lasting several weeks
• Normal color shifts as pigment settles
• The potential need for multiple sessions due to scar characteristics and individual healing response
Final results depend on skin physiology, scar behavior, and adherence to aftercare protocols.

POST-TREATMENT CARE
Healing & Aftercare Instructions
Following your procedure, mild redness, swelling, tenderness, dryness, flaking, and scabbing are normal healing responses.
Pigment will appear darker immediately after treatment and will soften as healing progresses.
During Healing, Please Avoid:
 Touching, rubbing, or scratching the treated area
 Picking or peeling scabs or flaking skin
 Heavy sweating or intense workouts during the first few days
 Steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs, and long hot showers

 Swimming (pools, ocean, hot tubs) until fully healed
 Direct sun exposure and tanning
 Makeup directly on the treated area until cleared
 Skincare products containing retinol, acids, exfoliants, or active ingredients on the treated area
Only apply products approved or provided by your technician.
Healing times vary depending on skin type and the area treated.
IMPORTANT AFTERCARE NOTICE
The aftercare guidance provided on this website is for informational purposes only. Each client will receive customized aftercare instructions at their appointment, and those instructions must be followed for proper healing and best results.
Failure to follow aftercare instructions may result in pigment loss, uneven healing, irritation, or the need for additional sessions.

SCAR CAMOUFLAGE AFTERCARE
Because scar tissue is damaged skin, scar camouflage healing requires careful attention and strict aftercare compliance.
Day 1 (First 24 Hours)
 Clean the treated area gently using a damp cotton pad as instructed.
 Repeat cleansing as recommended to remove lymph buildup.
 Avoid excessive pressure or rubbing.
Days 2–10
 Apply a thin layer of the recommended ointment or product 2–3 times daily as instructed.
 Keep the treated area clean, protected, and free from irritation.
 Avoid tight clothing or friction over the treated area.
Healing Expectations
 The treated area may appear darker, red, or irritated immediately after treatment.
 Final pigment results may take several weeks to settle.
 Multiple sessions may be required depending on scar texture, age, and pigment retention.
IMPORTANT AFTERCARE NOTICE

Scar camouflage results are highly dependent on proper aftercare. Clients must follow the specific aftercare instructions provided by their technician. Failure to follow instructions may result in poor pigment retention and may require additional sessions.
