What Is KYBELLA®?
KYBELLA® is an FDA-approved injectable treatment containing deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps break down and absorb fat. When injected into targeted areas, KYBELLA® destroys fat cells. Once those fat cells are eliminated, they can no longer store or accumulate fat again.
KYBELLA® treatments are customized based on each client’s goals and anatomy. A consultation is required to determine candidacy and the best treatment plan.

What Areas Can KYBELLA® Treat?
KYBELLA® is most commonly used for fat under the chin, but it may also be used in other small areas of the body where localized fat is present.
Your provider will determine if KYBELLA® is appropriate for the area you would like treated. Treatment plans are always customized based on anatomy, safety, and realistic expectations.
How Many KYBELLA® Treatment Sessions Will I Need?
Each person’s anatomy and treatment goals are different, so the number of sessions varies. Many clients require a series of treatments for optimal results.
Treatments are typically spaced at least 4–6 weeks apart. Some clients see improvement after 2–4 sessions, while others may require additional sessions depending on the treatment area and the amount of fullness present.
Your provider will create a customized plan based on your consultation and desired outcome.
What To Expect After Treatment
KYBELLA® is a quick in-office treatment, and most appointments take about 15–30 minutes, depending on the treatment area.
After treatment, swelling is common and expected. This is a normal part of the process and a sign that the product is working. Some clients may also experience temporary bruising, tenderness, firmness, redness, numbness, or a tight sensation.
Downtime varies depending on the individual and the area treated.
When Will I See Results?
Results develop gradually as the body naturally processes the treated fat cells. Many clients begin noticing improvement within several weeks, with continued refinement over time.
For best results, a series of treatments is recommended.
